This Mechanics Lien action was brought on behalf of Plaintiff Stetson Electric against the Mr. Shaool, et al due to failure to pay past due amounts for work completed, inspected by the city, and passed ... . After approximately 15 months of law and motion between parties, this dispute was brought before the Honorable Arbitrator George Caulkins at JAMS in West Los Angeles. After one day of testimony and closing briefs, it was determined that the money was owed, plus interest. The fee was paid to Plaintiff within 30 days of the judgment.
OUTCOME: This issue was resolved out of court in favor of Ms. Forman's client.
The AV Club Productions, Inc. was confronted by The Onion, a satirical publication with a section called "The AV Club" where popular media reviews are posted. They alleged trademark violation. After Ms ... . Forman showed that The AV Club Productions did indeed have a legal right to the name, The Onion ceased their complaints.
