Lawful Permanent Resident client was detained and arrested upon arriving back from a cruise trip. CBP officers found an unprescribed pill of Ketamine. He was criminally charged for possession of drugs, ... but such charge was dismissed in criminal court. Subsequently, DHS/ICE proceeded to charge him with having admitted to the possession of a controlled substance. Through aggressive advocacy, and brief submission, we were able to obtain Termination of Removal Proceedings, as opposed to filing for Cancellation of Removal relief.

Lawful Permanent Resident client had filed for Naturalization on his own over 6 years prior to hiring our office. After being interviewed, and passing the English/Civics exam, he was told his case wou ... ld be under review pursuant to background checks. After submitting various inquiries (written and INFOPASS), client retained our office to resolve the matter. A writ of mandamus was filed before the U.S. District Court requesting that the court issue a decision on the N-400. USCIS contacted our office 3 months later, and requested we withdraw the complaint because they were determined to approve the case immediately. Our client was sworn in and became a US Citizen 3 months after such communication
