Lawrence Arthur DeAngelus

Larry DeAngelus leads the firm’s Trusts & Estates practice group and concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, estate administration, estate taxation, and real estate transactions, both residential and commercial. Larry joined the firm in October 2022, after having been with the historic Schenectady based law firm of Higgins, Roberts & Suprunowicz, P.C. for 23 years.

Larry has served as counsel to Ingersoll Place, an assisted living facility in Niskayuna; Saratoga National Bank and Trust Company; and Sunmark Credit Union. He was also general counsel to the Chamber of Commerce of Schenectady County until its consolidation into the Capital Region Chamber in 2015, and then was invited to serve as the first general counsel of the newly formed chamber.
In published works, Larry has twice been a contributing author for Continuing Legal Education materials used for NYS Bar Association seminars on advanced estate planning topics. He also co-authored a leading article on estate tax apportionment published in the Trusts and Estates Section Newsletter.

Larry has enjoyed being a director of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra from 2008-2018, serving as Vice-President and Chair of Funds Development. He has also served on the City of Schenectady Ethics Board, the Schenectady City School District Audit Committee, the Zoller Elementary PTO, and the Government Affairs Committee of the Capital District Chamber of Commerce.
