A New Lenox nurse who sustained a back injury when she slipped on a patient’s diaper resulted in a lumbar spine fusion procedure. After making a workers’ compensation claim, she was determined to be ph ... ysically unable to return to her occupation of nursing. As a result, a permanency settlement in excess of $216,000.00 was negotiated by MPM. In addition to the settlement, future medical in an amount in excess of $33,000.00 was added to cover any possible future medical care.
