A trucker was run over from behind in a trucking container yard, resulting in severe injuries. At trial the defendant attorneys learned for the first time that the village had been citing their client ... for years for violating safety regulations. Including a citation on the day of the injury. The photographs taken by the village police 1.5 hours before the injury showed a cluttered , chaotic yard. These conflicted with the staged post accident photographs taken by the defendant that showed an organized almost pristine yard. After the police photographs were admitted into evidence and in the middle of plaintiff's case in chief the defendant consented to a judgment .

A 61 year old man was working in a construction zone when he was struck from behind by a motorist. This resulted in the loss of the workers lower leg . Another plaintiff's firm settled with that mo ... torist for his $20,000 insurance policy and gave up on the case against the City. After we worked on the case , our traffic engineering expert testified the City violated the MUTCD when it set up the work zone and then left a hole in the road while its workers went for an extended Friday afternoon lunch at Pompeii.

A global brain injury to a baby occurred near the time of birth. The injury was caused by an OB nurse misreading fetal heart monitor strips. The baby was born with low APGARS, seizures and was later ... diagnosed with cerebral palsy. This was at the time the highest medical malpractice jury verdict or settlement reported from Will County.

A commercial trucking collision in Bristol, Indiana resulted in the deaths of a mother and her 2 sons and the truck driver who caused the wreck. The defendant trucking company disclosed under oath in f ... ederal court that it had only $5,000,000 in insurance coverage. Further investigation by our attorney turned up another $6,000,000 in insurance coverage and a history of unsafe driving by the now dead trucker. The defendant trucking company paid an additional $2 million of its personal money to settle the case before trial in the Northern District.
