The reason I decided to hire Carl for my DWI defense, was specifically because of how compassionate and empathetic he was during this incredibly upsetting and awkward experience for me. I was completely out of my element, and paralyzed with fear about the possibility of having something on my record.... Carl helped me through this, and did not treat me like a cog in the DWI machine that is Suffolk County. I would've preferred it to not have dragged on as long as it did, with multiple trips from Manhattan to Hampton Bays (without frequent Jitney or trains running), but I suppose that is the judicial system... Not known for being efficient. He was able to get it reduced to a DWAI, with community service-- which I do anyway (no sweat!).
