John Samaras

John Samaras is an Associate at Schwartz, Fang & Keating, P.C., focusing his practice on elder law, trust and estates, real estate, estate planning and estate litigation. He joined the firm as an Associate in November of 2022 and previously worked at a boutique trust and estates law firm in Queens, NY, for 4 years.

John works with clients to develop estate plans to meet the individual needs for our clients, including the preparation of Wills, Trusts, Health Care Proxies and Powers of Attorney. John’s work also involves estate administration where he has represented clients in both contested and uncontested proceedings before the Surrogate’s Court.
John earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Master of Science Degree in Taxation from Fordham University. During his time at Fordham University, he was Vice-President of the Hellenic Society. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Saint John’s University School of Law where he focused his coursework on estate planning and estate administration.

John is a member of the Queens County Bar Association, the Trust and Estates and Elder Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association and is admitted to practice law in the State Courts of New York.
