Wayne Louis Ellenbogen

I am an intellectual property (IP) law attorney with extensive experience in preparing and prosecuting patents relating primarily to the high-technology electrical/computer, mechanical and biotechnology arts.

Eleven years of hands-on experience as an electrical design engineer have given me a definitive edge in being able to fully comprehend the intricacies of complex inventions and to craft patent applications which broadly protect a client's valuable IP rights.

I also have extensive experience in patent appeals (with a highly successful appeals record), client counseling, IP evaluation and IP portfolio management.

Extensive engineering background, particularly in analog/digital IC design and fabrication, communication systems, amplifiers, filters, data converters, etc. Extensive legal experience in all areas of domestic and foreign patent prosecution, patent appeals, opinion work, IP evaluation and portfolio management, licensing, and litigation support.

I am a licensed amateur radio operator, call sign K2DA.  Additionally, I am actively involved in community organizations, including the Boy Scouts of America (serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster) and local civic assoications (as member/trustee).  I enjoy almost any outdoor activity, especially hiking and boating.
