also known as Law Offices of Bonnie Spiro Schinagle
First hand experience taught me that parents contending with special education issues have to learn three languages: the law, neuroscience and educational pedagogy. My expertise isin the legal issues surrounding special education claims. In addition to protecting the rights of parents, I engage in academic analysis of special education law issues and have been publilshed in journals nationally recognized by legal scholars. My most recent article on the least restrictive environment was co-authored with Dr. Marilyn J. Bartlett of Texas A&M University, Kingswood and will be published in the February issue of the Children's Legal Rights Journal. I hold a post-doctorate in law, was accepted to and participated in the Institute for Special Education and Advocacy at William & Mary Law School. I am a member of the exective board for Long Island Professionals' ADHD Consortium and have lectured to related service providers and parent groups. Educating these stakeholders in legal standards enables me to provide more effective representation.
