Anthony Michael Baron

Anthony M. Baron is an experienced, award-winning trial attorney respected across Long Island for his results in criminal and civil litigation. During his eight years as a prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, Mr. Baron received the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Prosecution Award in 2009 and the Suffolk County District Attorney East End Bureau Outstanding Prosecutor Award in 2010. 

As an assistant district attorney, Mr. Baron prosecuted cases ranging from traffic infractions to serious felonies. During Mr. Baron’s years in the office’s Economic Crime Bureau, he prosecuted white-collar felony criminal cases including but not limited to mortgage fraud, attorney misconduct, employee embezzlement, schemes to defraud, and other complex financial crime. Mr. Baron has extensive criminal trial experience ranging from vehicular-related crimes (such as DWI offenses), to violent and white collar crime. Mr. Baron’s experience in the District Attorney’s office East End Bureau gives him a unique understanding of the criminal justice landscape on both the North and South Fork of Long Island. During his tenure in The Hamptons, Mr. Baron litigated cases in all of the justice courts on the East End, and served as the primary assigned assistant district attorney to the villages of Westhampton Beach and Quogue.

In addition to his criminal law experience, Mr. Baron practiced as a civil litigator for one of the nation’s largest auto insurers. His jury trial and arbitration verdicts saved clients in Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties from over a half of a million dollars in exposure during his time at that company.  Mr. Baron is a member of the Suffolk County Bar Association and the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Baron is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law, and earned his bachelor’s degree in political science from Stony Brook University. Mr. Baron knows that going through criminal and civil litigation can be stressful on both you and your family.
