After the death of my cousin, we hired Scott Kaufman to help us settle the estate. At the time we had no idea how specialized and intricate Surrogate’s Court proceedings could be. Scott and his office staff achieved an excellent result on a tedious 3 1/2 year engagement, which included a genealogy study and ultimately a kinship trial. Scott was instrumental in helping us get to an agreement with the squatter so that she would willingly leave while there was a m...oratorium on evictions. He spoke with her personally numerous times, which often meant going to the property in-person because there was no other way to communicate. Mr. Kauffman also recommended a great real estate broker who orchestrated the cleanup of the property so that it showed well and sold quickly. Scott and his team are responsive, professional, and reputable. If it weren't for them, I'd probably still be awaiting eviction proceedings now, instead of enjoying my inheritance.
