Robin S. Messinger

I am an attorney at Futterman Lanza, LLP focusing my practice on elder law and estate and trust administration. I guide clients through all stages of probate and estate settlement before the Surrogate’s Court, advising Executors and Trustees on their fiduciary duties and helping families navigate the often complex and emotional process of administering estates and trusts.

With a strong background in dispute resolution, I frequently assist clients in resolving family conflicts that arise over Wills, trusts, or asset distribution. I also represent individuals and families in negotiations with county attorneys and Medicaid departments, helping to protect their rights and minimize financial exposure when claims or liens are brought against an estate or a community spouse.

Before entering private practice, I worked in the Fiduciary Trust departments of J.P. Morgan Chase and Brown Brothers Harriman, gaining valuable insight into financial management and trust administration. While attending New York Law School, I interned for the U.S. Attorney’s Office and participated in the Immigration Law Clinic, experiences that strengthened my analytical and advocacy skills.

Outside of my legal practice, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children, as well as playing tennis, biking, and hiking.
