David Lazer

I’m co-founder and partner of Lazer Aptheker Rosella & Yedid, P.C., and co-chair inthe firm’sLitigation practice group. I have been an active trial and appellate lawyer for more than 31 years in the State and Federal Courts, and have conducted more than 70 trials to verdict.  I’ve argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals, Second Circuit, the New York Court of Appeals, the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments, and the Appellate Term.

With an emphasis on commercial litigation, I have litigated cases ranging from corporate matters, shareholder claims, partnership disputes, breach of contract, fraud and unfair competition and estate litigation. In addition, I have handled virtually all types of commercial and residential real estate litigation including zoning, landlord-tenant, specific performance and down payment recovery, property border disputes and adverse possession.

Along with being is admitted to practice in the State of New York, I also practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.  I have also been an instructor at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) program for many years and serve five or six times a year as an arbitrator in the Suffolk County Third District Court.
