Michael Carner

So, a little about me (as of August, 2018). . .  I was born and raised on Long Island, and my life was playing sports (everything as a kid) until I graduated West Hempstead High

School and then went on to attend Cornell University and ultimately graduated from Fordham Law School in Manhattan. 

After living in Manhattan for a couple of years, I got married and moved back to Long Island, specifically, Northport, NY,where I have been living for the last 17 years with my

beautiful wife Lisa and my three children, Brandon, Olivia, and Rafe, ages 19, 17, and 15. 

We love our community and I love the law.  Amazing to have my law practice only 10 minutes from my house!I have had the privilege over these past 25 years of fighting for the

"little guy," against some of the biggest insurance companies and corporations in the world.  It is an honor to represent the hard-working people of Long Island and NYC

when they have been injured and have no where else to turn. I meet some of the most amazing people among my clients.

My partner, Gerard DeVita, and I have been practicing law together since 1992 and we pride ourselves on the personal attention we give to each and everyone of our clients.  At our

I have handled everything from the $5,000 injury case to the $13,500,000 injury case - that last one settled in Suffolk County Supreme Court in Riverhead while the jury was out

after a 3 week trial in 2017- sprouted a couple more gray hairs on that one!- but we treat everyone with the same high level of personal care and attention they deserve.
