also known as Joseph C. Andruzzi, Esq., Andruzzi Law
Joseph C. Andruzzi is a New York personal injury attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. He represents individuals and families in cases involving motor vehicle accidents, construction accidents, unsafe premises, medical malpractice, wrongful death, and other serious injuries.
Joe understands that injured clients need more than legal representation. They need an attorney who will listen, explain the process clearly, remain accessible, and fight to protect their interests. He gives each client personal attention and carefully prepares every case, from the initial investigation through settlement negotiations or trial.
After graduating from Hofstra University School of Law in 1993, Joe was admitted to the New York Bar in January 1994. From March 1995 through April 2002, he worked for the Nassau County Attorney’s Office, defending medical malpractice claims and complex Public Works engineering errors-and-omissions matters. This experience gave him valuable insight into how municipalities, defendants, insurance companies, and defense attorneys evaluate and defend significant injury claims.
Joe’s scientific education and technical experience provide an important advantage in complicated personal injury cases. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University in 1990, graduating magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, with departmental honors in Biology and American History.
Throughout his career, Joe has handled cases involving medical and scientific evidence, traffic engineering, roadway design, construction and industrial safety, metallurgy, mechanical and electrical systems, soil and structural testing, surveying, stormwater management, and marine construction. His ability to understand technical evidence allows him to work effectively with physicians, engineers, accident-reconstruction professionals, and other experts when determining how an accident occurred and proving the full extent of a client’s injuries.
Joe is admitted to practice in New York State courts and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in Pennsylvania and Connecticut in matters involving complex scientific evidence.
Joe has devoted a significant amount of his professional and personal time to land conservation. He has provided legal services to land trusts and other organizations working to preserve open space, protect natural resources, and conserve environmentally important properties.
His commitment to the community extends beyond his law practice. Joe previously served as Counsel to the Town of Oyster Bay Landmarks Preservation Commission and as Counsel to the Board of Directors of the Wildlife Rescue Center of the Hamptons. He is a member of the Nassau County Bar Association and served for seven years as Congregation President of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bethpage.
As a dedicated husband and father of three, Joe understands how a serious injury can affect an entire family. He brings experience, compassion, careful preparation, and personal commitment to every client he represents.

Glad this guy is on my side!
Joe and his team guided me through a very difficult with my deceased mother’s foreclosure and estate process. Ever forth right, and always supportive.
"I have known Joseph Andruzzi both personally and professionally for many years, and I can say without hesitation that he is an exceptional attorney and a fierce advocate for his clients. Joe brings an impressive combination of legal knowledge, experience, preparation, and practical judgment to every matter he handles. In personal injury and motor vehicle accident cases, he understands not only how to build a strong case, but how to fight for the best possible result for his client. What has always stood out to me is how personally invested Joe becomes in the people he represents. He goes above and beyond, is always accessible, and treats every client and case as important. Joe has also been a trusted mentor to me throughout my own legal career, and I have tremendous respect for him as both an attorney and a person. I would confidently refer a family member, friend, or client to Joe without hesitation."
