EXCELLENT ATTORNEY

I met with Heather to discuss my divorce. From our first meeting she was upfront and honest. Always leading me in a good direction when it came to going to court and counsel on which was the best way to proceed and she never had be waste money on frivolous motions. Throughout the divorce proceedin...gs when my ex-husband's attorney was unethical we always took the high road and did not stoop to their level Heather Fig is a class act and a great attorney and I would highly recommend her to anybody. I can give her five stars *****.

Can't Imagine Using Anyone Else

Heather was my divorce attorney and I honestly couldn't imagine using anyone else. My divorce was tough; it involved some domestic violence issues that were emotionally taxing, however, Heather and her staff always made me feel like they had it completely under control and their advice was unpara...lleled. I never once questioned her judgement; she always talked me through the "plan," as she called it, and would reassure me if I freaked out. I knew that I wasn't her only client, but whenever I was in her office or on the phone with her she definitely made me feel like my divorce was top priority, and that was super comforting. I know that legal issues take time, and my divorce was no different, but I felt like she was always doing her best to move things along while also advocating for the best possible outcome on my behalf. I feel that at the end of it all, I had the best-case scenario. She's definitely a no BS attorney, always very upfront and honest. If I had an idea that would run me into accruing unnecessary legal fees, she would let me know. I appreciated that because I'm not independently wealthy and it made me trust her more knowing that she wasn't in it to just jack up her cost; she truly wanted what was best for me. I just knew I could trust her with anything, and that's exactly how you want to feel when you're going through a tough divorce. I have recommended her to friends, and I would certainly use her again. (Hopefully I won't have to!)

Honest and truthful

What I appreciated most about Heather Fig was her honesty. She always painted both sides. For example, if i said I wanted to do smthg, she would explore the different ways it could all pan out. She told the good and the bad. My ex’s attorney purposely dragged his feet, left things unsigned to cause... delays and just tried to manipulate and “play dirty” to hurt me and my kids. Heather didnt stoop to that level. She stayed honest. Further, even when I was angry she kept me cool and strong! In the end it was very expensive (ugh) and took a lonnnnng time to be completed but Heather did what she could to stay on track and even kept me from falling apart emotionally. She was actually a “friend” through it all. I appreciated that a lot. PS: even the women who work in her office were always smiling, friendly and eager to assist.

Unprofessional, disorganized, and just plain rude!

Heather was my lawyer for my divorce. She never acted as an advocate or as though she was on my side at all. Most of the parameters of the divorce were my idea, there were times when the alimony my ex was offering would stop me from being able to move on with my life; stop me from living with someo...ne, or remarrying, and I told her that these were things I wanted in the next few years and asked how she could help remedy this with a different agreement. She never came up with any solution and I had to come up with an idea to change the alimony to a one time payment; thanks but I am paying you to think of things like this! She would never respond to my emails when there were very pressing maters. She left me nervous and stressed for days without returning phone calls. When most of our business had concluded she insisted on emailing me outside of business hours; I would get emails from her at 11 pm! I explained that I don't like to receive these emails, and she never showed any respect for this and just continued to call, email whenever she wanted; now that nothing important was on the line, she seemed fine working outside of business hours, why couldn't I get this kind of service when I needed it?? When there were very stressful maters that arose?? She also would often be chewing gum in our meetings, which is so unprofessional. The last thing I will mention was quite a serious issue; she drafted a letter to my ex husband about an insurance payment, she emailed it to me and asked me to approve it prior to it being sent; but then she just sent it over to him anyway. He and I had already worked this out, but upon receiving the letter he got upset about it again and this ended up COSTING ME MONEY. He had agreed to pay himself, after he got this unapproved letter from MY lawyer he went back on the defensive and insisted I pay him back, so mown lawyer sent a letter, without approval, and it ended up costing me money. She is not reliable, she got many things wrong in my case, and she just never seemed to be a person I could count on or turn to during a very difficult time. I don't believe she got me the best settlement, and my experience with her was worse than that with my ex!
