Ubaid Usman Bandukra

I am the founder of Bandukra Law, a solo practice in Oceanside serving individuals, families, and business owners across Long Island, New York City, and Texas in estate planning, real estate, and business law.

I came to the law from the business side. Before opening the firm I spent more than thirteen years as Director of Real Estate Operations for a real estate group, negotiating leases and overseeing development projects. That experience shapes how I practice: I read a lease the way an operator does, structure a transaction around how it will actually run, and draft an estate plan a family can use without a lawyer standing beside them.

My estate planning work covers wills, revocable living trusts, powers of attorney, health care proxies, living wills, and HIPAA authorizations, with deeds and trust funding handled as part of the plan. For families who want it, I prepare Islamic estate plans that follow fara'id inheritance principles and hold up under New York and Texas law. On the real estate side I handle residential and commercial closings, purchase and sale contracts, commercial and residential leases, assignments and extensions, and Section 1031 exchanges. For business clients I form LLCs and corporations, draft operating and shareholder agreements and contracts, and handle the purchase or sale of a business.

I earned my J.D. from St. John's University School of Law, where I was a Real Estate Fellow at the Mattone Family Institute for Real Estate Law, and I am admitted in New York and Texas. Most estate planning and transactional matters are quoted as flat fees, so you know the cost before the work begins.
