Thomas Mathew McGovern

We hired Tom McGovern to handle our real estate sale in Nassau County New York in October of 2020. He did a great job and navigated us through what became a difficult sale. Mostly timing issues but thats when you need an experienced attorney to represent you for the biggest sale/purchase of your life.... Mr McGovern kept everything on track and kept us well informed along the way. My wife Gail and I trusted Mr McGovern and gave him power of attorney for our sale in New York so we could close our purchase out of state on the same day. Everything went great.

Tom did an excellent job overall representing myself in selling my home. He broke down all the lawyer jargon in simple terms. And he would put you at ease when things started to get stressful. We had a zoning issue with our backyard fence. And Tom stepped up and brought his fence guy over to ...get a gate installed in the fence so we can move the sale along. Overall the whole experience was pain free. The closing on the house wasnt a normal closing for we had to do it outside because of Covid. Tom was outside hustling going car to car explaining and getting the appropriate forms signed to close the deal. He did such a great job I'm in the process of buying a property and will use his services again.

Thomas McGovern handled some issues with my home a couple of years back- in particular setting up a life estate and power of attorney. His explainations were thorough yet simple. I don't drive so he came to my home which was extremely helpful. His rates were also very reasonable. Very good lawye...r and great person!
