John G. Farinacci

John is a partner in Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C. ("RMF") where he co-chairs the Trusts and Estates Department.

John heavily concentrates his practice in trust and estate litigation, handling a wide variety of litigated matters including prosecuting and defending will contests (i.e., contested probate proceedings) accounting proceedings, discovery and turnover proceedings, elective share proceedings, proceedings to determine the validity of claims, proceedings for advice and direction, will and trust construction proceedings, beneficiary disqualification proceedings, fiduciary liability and removal cases and guardianship proceedings.

John also handles appeals related to trust and estate cases including cases in the Supreme Court Appellate Division and the New York State Court of Appeals

In addition to litigation, John represents clients in estate planning, estate administration and guardianship matters.

John is an active member of the New York State Bar Association's Trusts and Estates Law Section where is serves as a member of the Section's Executive Committee. John is curretly serving as chair of the Section's Estate Litigation Committee. John is a past chair of the Nassau County Bar Association's Surrogate's Court Estates and Trusts Committee. He frequently writes and lectures in the area of Trusts and Estates Law.

Prior to joining RMF, John was a partner at a Long Island law firm, where he specialized in trust and estate matters. While in law school, John interned for the Nassau Surrogate’s Court under Judge C. Raymond Radigan.
