Was confused and lost until i met Sari on one of her virtual Father's Right meetings on the last Thursday of every month Sometime last year June. She answered all my questions and was extremely knowledgeable . She was frank and honest. Eventually, when i had my consultations with her, i decid...ed to retain her firm and "oh boy , that's one of the best decisions" i have ever had to make thus far". My representation by Crystal Parnell was not only professional, she treated me as though i was the only client she had. She showed empathy, listened to what i had to say and never, at any point did i feel rushed. Crystal will always return my emails and phone calls promptly. Not to mention the fact that , she is fierce and well vested in child custody cases. Sari heads a firm that focuses on empowering its clients without wasting time or mincing words with her clients and opposing counsel. She's a composed, astute and forward-thinking advocate -- especially for fathers whose parental rights and parenting time have been violated and compromised, and most ...importantly for the children whose "daddy-daughter" relationships have been compromised as well. I switched to Sari from other representation after my case had been dragged along and my parenting time severely limited for five months due to false allegations. This is the equivalent of being guilty until proven innocent or, at best, what I call "parental purgatory." Hardly a month after retaining Sari, however -- and at our first court appearance together -- my joint custody was reestablished and my parental rights restored. Sari's staff is respondent and allowed me to work hands-on with paralegals in drafting our proposed parenting agreement. It is important to note that a joint custody agreement doesn't guarantee the non-residential parent that his/her parenting time will be honored. This became a reality for me when my daughter's mom often failed to adhere to our schedule. And this is why every custody agreement must be extremely detailed when it comes to specificity of parenting time. Sari had the foresight to file a petition to move our case to Supreme Court rather than linger at the county level, and our request was granted by the Supreme Court despite opposition from opposing counsel. So after more deliberation -- including an out-of-court "four-way" meeting between Sari/me and mother/opposing counsel at Sari's efficiently run and comfortable Garden City office -- we established a new, airtight parenting-time agreement signed by both parties, once again avoiding trial. For all those dads out there seeking representation in uphill battles against a court system often unfavorable to fathers -- specifically in NY state -- I would not consider retaining another attorney until first consulting with Sari. My coparenting relationship is now better than I ever could have imagined. There is no escaping accountability with Sari on your side, and one should never put a price tag on piece of mind.

Sari was highly recommended to me by someone who had a great experience with her as her lawyer. For some reason, I did not at all get the same treatment that this woman had and others who left great reviews had. She was not very prepared for court. She forgot to present the very basics like a financi...al affidavit. She never even mentioned it to me and it was asked for by the judge and the opposing side. It was almost impossible to get her to pay attention to my case and to help me prepare, until the same day or night before. She would not speak to me until the day before my court dates. My case was an international one which required her to be knowledgable about how my supporting documents needed to be notarized. I asked her for her guidance in how to make sure that my documents will be accepted in court. She said she didn't know. To look it up myself. I did my best, but the opposing counsel knew and she did not, and so none of my documents were accepted that I had spent a lot of money on notarizing by lawyers in my country. She dropped the ball on the very basics and it made all the difference in my case. And when it was apparent that she dropped the ball, she never acknowledged or apologized. She tried blaming things on me. She was also very impatient, curt, rude and several times just demeaning to me when I spoke with her to consult on the best way to move forward. One thing that Sari never ever forgot, was money. Every conversation started and ended with money. She has no mercy when it comes to that. I am writing this review only so that other people in my situation, who are scraping every single penny to pay for very important legal fees, and who are in the middle of high stakes divorce/child support cases, do not get caught in the same situation. Her services were nowhere near worth the money she charged. Though she did show up to court and argued on my behalf, she was so unprepared with my documents that I lost my case. I am happy that she came through for others. I just have no idea why I did not merit the same standard of service.

I cannot say enough good things about Friedman & Friedman. Going through a divorce is horrible but having an attorney that provides expertise, guidance, and patience makes the ordeal a bit less painful. She gives you her legal advice but accepts that you will make your own decisions when it comes to what you can live with or cannot accept. While no one will ever be 100% happy with what the courts decide in terms of maintenance, division of property, etc. or how settlement negotiations play out, you have the best chance of getting the best possible outcome when you have the law firm of Friedman & Friedman as your attorney. I am forever grateful to Sari and Jennifer for the representation, diligence, guidance and support they provided to me during my divorce proceedings. I recommend them highly to anyone, man or woman, that finds themselves at threshold of divorce.
