I represented the defendant Taylor, the tenant , in his appeal from a Justice Court verdict in favor of Stone, his landlord. The case was tried on appeal to a jury in the Harris County Civil Court at L ... aw No. One. After the plaintiff landlord rested, I made a motion for directed verdict based on the failure of the landlord to send the proper notices required by the Texas Property Code in connection with its action to evict the tenant. After lengthy argument to the court, the court granted the motion and rendered final judgment in favor of the defendant (tenant).
