Jake Lasala

As our real estate attorney, Jake was very proactive in protecting our rights and in providing quick and reliable feedback and answers to questions, where there were many! Additionally Jake displayed excellent negotiation skills throughout our whole co-op buying process. One can get more than a lost... through the endless stacks of papers, rules and regulations. He and his staff were quick to answer calls, voice mails, even text messages regardless of the time or day. Highly recommend him to others based on our experience as clients.

Jake had helped me with my original case and actually did a good job. When I had violated my probation i went to him and told him the situation and he said he would talk with the judge and probation department and see what could be done. he told me this would cost $3500.00. I gave him a check the ...next day and it was cashed immediately. That is the last time I heard from Jake Lasala. He never returned my calls when i tried to see the status of what he was doing. A year and a half later now, I was recently arrested for a warrent on that violation of probation. I AGAIN contacted jake to see what was going on....my mother contacted him repeatedly when i was in jail......my parrtner called and texted....NO ONE RECEIVED A RESPONSE WHILE I SAT IN JAIL. They even said, "Look, please just tell us if you will or will not represent david, he is in jail and needs an attorney. We paid you to take care of this and you obviosly haven't done a thing." he wouldn't even say NO I CAN"T REPRESENT YOUR SON. We have made a complaint about him to he Nassau Bar Assoc. The Nassau District Attorney, and the NYS Lawyer's Fund for Clent Protection. DO NOT USE JAKE LASALA

Jake Lasala is a poor excuse of an attorney and should have his license revoked. I hired him to handle my custody and divorce case but he was grossly negligent. He never updated me on my case. I would have to call him several times (3+ times) to get a response, usually while he was out and rushed,... with the call lasting no longer than 3 minutes and no firm details as to the direction of my case. He blatantly told me that my court case was postponed and in the process of being rescheduled when in fact we needed to appear in court. He also did not appear in court the second time the judge ordered us in. The judge made a strict judgement on my custody case and I'm still fighting to correct it. Find a better attorney that will work hard for you right off the bat.

He fail to show up on court dates, never answered his calls or his messages, faxed in so many adjournments, he abandoned the case without any notification,never returned new attorney's phone calls, CONCLUSION, YOUR BETTER OFF WITH LEGAL AID. I NOTIFIED THE BAR ON THIS MATTER AND I AM WAITING FOR A R...ESPONSE.
