I’m really thankful for you

Thank you for the effort and work you made for me.Thank you for the strength you have given me in my weak moments during the case. Never asked or called you about any thing and you didn’t answer it, I got all answered. Let me say we won the case because of you highly skilled efforts and your working ...on the little small details with me. I won’t forget that in my life.

He's a good lawyer

Diego was on top of me in getting to hearings and would spell things clearly while I was a hot mess. I'd leave him voicemails and he called me back the same day or next day. I told him my circumstances and he got me the best deal possible, which ended up being a disorderly conduct. Looks like he knew... the DA people and talked about my case saying I didn't deserve something worse, like he had a heart. He did good.

Does not show up to court to represent you

I was assigned Diego of the Legal Aid Society as my court appointed attorney. At lock up he assured me that I was getting out no problem. He gave me his card and told me not to call him. Thought that was weird. Was responsive via email, answered my questions, but the first court date he was no where ...to be found. If he had been present my case may have been dropped. Adjourned for another 2 months, and on that court date he does not show again! If you get assigned Diego Freire of the Legal Aid Society, I'd ask the courts to have them reassign another attorney.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
