Possession for sale of small amount of cocaine.
N/AOUTCOME: short in-patient drug treatment program
My client was charged with having cocaine in his car with intent to sell. This is a serious B Felony. He also had prior drug possession convictions and a sale conviction but no violent criminal priors. ... I convincingly made the case that he was turning his life around, and got him into a less then 6 months in-patient drug treatment program. This is literally unheard of (I asked around to my colleagues at criminal court-no one had ever heard of such a thing) as this is ALWAYS 18-24 months for the in patient program.
