OUTCOME: An appeal is currently pending in the Court of appeals, 7th circuit. Mr. Goodman remains the lead attorney in the case.

Mr. Goodman is the lead attorney for former Illinois governor Rod Blagojevich. Mr. Goodman took over the case at the appellate level after Governor Blagojevich was convicted of 18 counts of Corruption ... and sentenced to 14 years in Federal prison. Mr. Goodman's appeal was successful in dismissing 5 counts and the sentence was vacated. Upon re-sentencing, however, the trial judge upheld the original sentence of 14 years.
