The state trooper called for the drug sniffing dogs and it took the c ... anine officer 23 minutes to get to the scene while the client and his passengers waited. Attorney Jeff Hall argued the State Trooper unreasonably prolonged the stop and detention longer than the time reasonably necessary for the trooper to conduct the legitimate activities normally associated with a routine stop. The Circuit Judge agreed. The prosecutors had to dismiss based on the ruling. The client was looking at a maximum 5 year sentence.
