I agree with both colleagues. First, you will be able to still retain the priority but it is highly improper to jump from employer to employer...

It would mean you need to return to your country and stay there put for two years before you could seek H1B visa or status or both.

Yes, if the applicaiton is not approved you could be deported. However, I am not sure the intention was to put you thorugh a roulette.

President Obama or not, only income obtained during period of authorized employment is counted towardsd the SS returmment benefits.

I concur about humanitarian parole but please be prepared that it is not an easy applicaiton to get approved.
