Crimi a charges are separate an apart from the civil demand letter. Make sure you have an attorney for the crimi al charges. S/he can be on top of...

The age of consent in NY is 17 so you better make sure there isn't any sex involved. Touching could also be a problem even if there isn't any sex....

What if a witness states to the cops he saw something and then in court says that it looked like something happened?

So long as he testifies to the truth he won't get in trouble.

While the witness will most likely be cross examined at trial so long as he says the truth under oath it isn't likely that he would get in trouble.
