It may not be for a while (usually about once a year). The inmate should speak with her counselor.

I’m not exactly sure why they told you that. Disorderly Conduct is a violation and not a crime so to begin with you don’t have a criminal record...

You would be best served if you had an attorney. S/he can navigate you through the system and hopefully avoid a perjury charge.

If the defendant elects to testify s/he can be asked any question and would be required to answer any question that is relevant to the proceedings.
