I would recommend against leaving until your status has been changed because you will abandon your case and then would have to apply for admission...

Unfortunately there is not a way to bring a fiance as an LPR. How close to being eligible for citizenship are you? Can you go and marry this person?

Your Application or Petition can and will be denied. You need to consult an attorney. Dependent upon your status you could be removable.

In the State of NY Adultery is a class B misdemeanor; however, they never prosecute it. As for your question, I don't think they violated...
