Rita D Turner

Rita Turner is the Managing Attorney at The Fried Firm PLLC, an entertainment and business law firm focusing on providing legal services to the creative client.  She has specific experience involving intellectual property, contractual disputes, First Amendment issues and international law.  She has acted as lead counsel in several state and federal court matters in both New York and New Jersey.

Ms. Turner has advised clients ranging from emerging companies and individuals to multinational corporations on contractual agreements, intellectual property matters and litigation strategies.

Ms. Turner has worked on pharmaceutical patent litigation, trademark litigation and prosecution and has taken the lead on important legal matters going all the way back to Rutgers Law School when she provided transactional intellectual property assistance to eligible small businesses and individuals regarding contract drafting and review, intellectual property licensing, and copyright, trademark, and patent assistance and opinions.  She also represented voters turned away in Newark, NJ polls during the 2008 presidential election.

Rita Turner was born and raised in Okinawa and speaks Japanese.  Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a professional dancer and choreographer with performance experience in both the United States and Japan.
