He will lie and mislead you; yell at you and insult you. He will intentionally misrepresent the law, deceive you, and ill advise you if he bothers to advise you at all. He will intentionally put you in a precarious position to manipulate you to do whatever is easiest for him. He is really a landlord... attorney, and will sabotage a tenant's case. You cannot call him or ask questions. If you do, he will berate you.  He will not do anything he says he will do before you give him money. He will take a tenant case if he thinks he can make a quick buck, but he really supports landlords. If you check his cases on line they are 90% landlord. If I could give him no stars I would. Buyer beware!

I was dealing with my Landlord's attorney in court when some things opened up that were over my head. I called Mr Aronsen and set up a consultation with him. He looked through my paperwork that I had done on my own and agreed to help me. Everything he said he would do, he did. Everything he said woul...d happen in Court Happened. His fee was fair and reasonable. My case was dismissed without prejudice in my favor. I did not lose my apartment. I highly recommend him and if you are in a jam with your landlord, call him immediately. He knows what he is doing.

I was highly reccomended to Mr. Aronson. I called his office afraid and confused, the staff was warm , caring and understanding of my concerns. An appointment was made and immediately i felt so much better. After interviewing with the attorney he knew his work from top to bottom . answered all my qu...estion and eased all my concerns. My court date appeared and just like he explained at my interview he took care of the whole situation. I was amazed at how he was well known by the attorneys in court and also the Judges showed him a lot of respect. A few weeks later my case came to an end with a complete dismissal and i was able to maintain in my apartment. I was very lucky to have mr aronson. I will reccommend him to everyone that comes by my path.

If you are living in a loft building which your landlord illegally converted from a factory, Mr. Aronson's retainer ($2,500) will buy you about one year of rent-free living. On the other hand, a more competent and interested attorney (as well as probably slightly more expensive) could keep you there... for much longer, although the services would probably cost a bit more. Basically, he knows all the judges and all the landlords in the Brooklyn Housing Court, and when your landlord finally moves to evict you, he negotiates a sort of standard settlement instead of investing real time or effort in your case. A worthwhile investment (we lived 13 months rent-free), but if we had it to do over again (and had a similarly unethical, slimy landlord), we would do better research and pay a better attorney to be more interested in our case.
