Chrystie Nguyen sued her employer, the University of Texas, after she was discharged from her job with the law school's Continuing Legal Education department. She claimed race/national origin and gend ... er discrimination, while the University claimed that she was discharged for poor performance. Despite some challenging facts, the case was ultimately dismissed on summary judgment and affirmed on appeal to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Perkins was lead counsel for the University.
