OUTCOME: Federal Court ordered Mom to return Children to Father
Mom married into wealthy Mexican family while on a spring fling. Had a bunch of kids and years later took kids to tiny town in Oklahoma. I represented father in suing Mom in Federal Court in Oklahoma ... city to return the kids to Mexico. District Judge followed the international treaty law and ordered Mom to return to Mexico. Years later in a follow-up call found out that Mom and Dad settle their differences and were happy together with their children.
OUTCOME: Client released from jail
Client was jailed for, among other things, alleged failure to maintain health insurance as additional child support. Client was released after I did a special form of appeal called a habeas corpus re ... quest to the 1st Court of Appeals. Appeals court reversed the trial court and ordered my client released. I have been told that this case is a teaching case used to train new assistant attorney generals.
