Negligence does not require intent. The advice of counsel defense may fail and leave a viale cause of acyion for negligence.

If this case is important to you, you should have a lawyer review the stipulation. Signing a release will have consequences for your case.

If you re entitled to payment of your legal fees, either by contract or by statute, changing attorneys will not affect your entitlement to those fees.

You can always change attorneys. The old attorney will essentially have a lien on the case for the work that he performed.
