Joshua David Spitalnik

Josh Spitalnik has over a decade of experience representing all manner of clientele while performing construction and commercial law.  Josh's goal is to build a relationship with his clients in order to understand all the needs and potential difficulties in the client's business.  This way Josh and his clients can proactively take steps to avoid the issues that lead to litigations.  Josh believes in the concept that the best time to get a lawyer is before you need one.

In any lawsuit, Josh believes that the best way to succeed is to understand the case inside and out, as often the lawyer who knows the most about the case is in the best position to succeed.  Rather than focus his review on a case's strengths, Josh spends the majority of his time addressing potential weaknesses in the case in order to minimize the potential impact.

Josh received his Bachelors of Science in Human Development from Cornell University in 1999, which included the study of psychology and sociology.  This training has helped Josh take his role as "counselor at law" very seriously.

From 1999 to 2002, Josh worked as a senior purchasing assistant for Loews Cineplex Entertainment handling purchasing for new build construction of theatres.  This helps Josh to understand the realities of what it means to work for a business, and not just as a lawyer.  This also allowed Josh to see almost every movie that came out in that time for free!

After working for several years, Josh made the decision to return to school.  Josh attended Brooklyn Law School and graduated in 2005.

After law school, Josh worked as an associate for Cohen & Krasner performing construction law, commercial law and consumer debt collection.  Josh also was a partner at the Law Offices of Melvin J. Kalish, PLLC, representing nearly exclusively construction clients in all matters of construction and commercial law.

Josh is the father of two cute and rambunctious boys, and is a loving husband to his beautiful wife.

Josh is also a big baseball fan and over the years has traveled around the country in an attempt to see every baseball stadium.
