Lori Ann Lasalle

Lori A. La Salle is a Partner at The Greenberg, Dresevic, Iwrey, Kalmowitz & Pendleton Law Group.

Ms. La Salle focuses her practice on all aspects of health care law, representing a wide array of health care clients such as hospitals, nursing homes, physician practices, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), independent practice associations (IPAs), and Regional Health Information Organizations (RHIOs). With 18 years of experience in health care law, Ms. La Salle advises health care providers on matters such as corporate compliance, fraud and abuse, HIPAA, EMTALA, human-subject research, assisted reproductive technology, mental health issues and advance directives. Additionally, she handles a variety of transactions, including IPA formation, managed care contracting, audits conducted by commercial and government, physician arrangements, procurement agreements, medical services agreements, clinical trial agreements and negotiation of electronic health records.  Additionally, she is an active member of the North Shore-LIJ Health System Institutional Review Board.

Prior to joining the firm, she was a Senior Associate General Counsel at one of the nation's largest health care systems, which is comprised of 15 hospitals, (including three world-class tertiary hospitals as well as a nationally recognized children's hospital and a psychiatric facility), a hospice, home care services, a major medical research institute, and skilled nursing facilities. She was responsible for coordinating and responding to audits and surveys by regulatory agencies such as NYSDOH, FDA, the NYS Attorney General and The Joint Commission. She has had extensive experience as the Director of Risk Management at a large New York City hospital system and handled high-exposure medical malpractice cases at a Wall Street law firm as an associate litigation attorney.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. La Salle worked as a registered nurse in the operating room at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and was instrumental in setting up a multi-specialty physician practice in Westchester County.

Ms. La Salle received her J.D., cum laude, from St. John's University and her BSN from Adelphi University.
