OUTCOME: Case Dismissed
My client was charged with retail theft. The case was dismissed.
OUTCOME: Felonies reduced to a single misdemeanor without a criminal conviction.
My client was arrested for taking a shotgun and pointing it at a person/ group of people after an altercation. He was charged with Aggravated UUW and Assault with a Deadly Weapon - both felonies. Aft ... er carefully negotiating with the State, the felonies were reduced to a single misdemeanor simple assault charge. My client was placed on Court supervision for 6 months. That means that he will have NO criminal conviction and will be able to expunge his record.
OUTCOME: DUI charges reduced / Drivers License Reinstated
Client was arrested for a DUI after being involved in an accident. The State was forced to reduce the charge to Reckless Driving after I filed a Motion to Quash Arrest. My client agreed to Court super ... vision which is not even a criminal conviction. My client completed his supervision and had his driving license reinstated.
OUTCOME: Record Expunged over State's Objection
The State objected to our client's Petition to Expunge his record for Domestic Battery. I appeared and the State's Motion was denied by the Court.
OUTCOME: Felony Case Dismissed / No Record
Our client was charged with multiple felony counts of unlawfully possessing a gun. We were able to successively prosecute our Motion to Suppress evidence - the Court agreed that the our client was sub ... jected to an unlawful search under the 4th amendment of the US Constitution by the Chicago Police Department.
OUTCOME: Case Dismissed at Preliminary Hearing
State charged client with felony retail theft. Client also had a long criminal history.
