I consulted with Laurel after a surgeon had cut my common hepatic duct during a Laparoscopic cholecystectomy. I suffered severe pain, reconstructive surgery, a 55 staples scar on my abdomen, and now 21 years later, I continue to suffer and need on going medical care because I have chronic and reoccu...rring Cholangitis due to this botched surgery. She was abrupt and basically said I had no case, as I had no long term impact. Sadly this is not further from the truth. My life changed forever, as I almost died, and I continue to be in constant pain, financial hardship, and an end to my life that I knew at 42. I now know that all such cases are an immediate settlement, and still do not understand why she refused to help me. Even when I returned to her a year later when the adhesions set in and shut down my liver, she refused to help and said I had no case. I attempted to contact several other lawyers and no one would see me, even the AG of NY State was contacted, and he did nothing.
