Yes, this firm asked for a big retainer BUT, after talking to a couple of other area lawyers, this firm seemed more aggressive. I met with David Sachs at my first meeting and he gave me the feeling that I was going to be well protected in my trumped up, ridiculously racist criminal charges against m...e. Money well spent. David was fantastic. He was able to have my case dismissed by filing legal papers with a court appearance with testimony (not a trial). Judge agreed with his legal opinion and dismissed my case. I can't thank him enough. Also, on one court date lawyer Andrew Proto from the firm appeared on my case which was fine, because I did hire the firm, but what was exceptional about it was that he knew my case just as well as David. In my view, this firm is top notch.

After a simple Google search, and after reading numerous reviews (all of which seemed 'too good to be true' by the way), I finally met with David Sachs and a handful of other local criminal defense lawyers in the White Plains area. I had been 'jumped' outside of a bar by three belligerent men after ...a presumably innocent discussion went wrong. A Good Samaritan came to the rescue, stopping one of my attackers in his tracks and sending him to the hospital. However, when the police arrived, I was arrested and never had a chance to explain my end of the story (my Good Samaritan fled and was arrested the next day). Needless to say, I felt like the victim and not the perpetrator and I needed a lawyer who was going to see it my way. None of the other lawyers could promise a dismissal but worst, they said an ACD dismissal was completely unattainable. David couldn't guarantee a dismissal, but he was confident of his record enough that I chose David. I would not settle for a plea, for a misdemeanor conviction, for probation, or for a record. As a young business owner and former educator, a criminal record would be devastating (I had a misdemeanor from my college days that still lingers!). Guess what? I received an ACD dismissal. My poor Samaritan, well, he went with another lawyer and had to plea to probation! Incredible. As for price, all lawyers are pricey, and David's cost was comparable to what the others were charging, it seemed like a standard price. I know this review seems to good to be true but it's the truth. David's record and reviews are like this for a reason.

When I needed an attorney for my custody case which I was expecting to be contentious, I called tons of attorneys. It seemed like money was the only topic they wanted to discuss. Then I called Mr. Sachs' firm and I spoke to Mr. Sachs for a half hour about my case. He was the first attorney that I ...called that actually gave me the time and listened! Eventually I had to bring up the fee issue. The fee was reasonable and I retained Mr Sachs' firm. Mr. Sachs was very attentive to me throughout my case, returned all of my emails and calls promptly, showed me compassion and understanding throughout my case which always put me at ease. Best part was that I could tell he was in control in the courtroom and quickly understands the facts of the case and how to represent his client. I thought my case would be very contentious but I really feel that because of Mr. Sachs, my case was settled in the right and fair way. I was extremely satisfied with his representation and the outcome of my case. I pray that I do not need an attorney ever again but if I do I know that there is no other attorney that I would hire. I am truly grateful. Mr. Sachs is really an asset to his profession.

When I spoke to Mr. Sachs about the drug charges against me he spent a lot of time with me on the telephone even before I hired him. I had called other lawyers and they didn't want to talk to me on the phone they just wanted me to come to their office with money or at least that is the way it felt. ... Mr. Sachs was very professional and when our conversation was over I understood for the first time what was happening to me and that gave me a feeling of control. That is why I hired Mr. Sachs. He is a very personable guy with real talent as a criminal defense lawyer. As for my felony drug charge he got it dismissed with an ACD. Crazy thing is, he told me that was what he thought he could get for me during our first telephone conversation!
