Brendan James Alt

Brendan J. Alt is an Associate at Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy & Bach, LLP.  The majority of Brendan’s practice focuses on the representation of hospitals and individual physicians in medical malpractice actions. He is involved in all stages of litigation, with particular attention to fact investigation, discovery, motion practice, suit evaluation, settlement negotiations, and trial.

During law school, Brendan represented Pace University School of Law in the National Trial Competition, and won the New York State Bar Association’s award for Best Advocate and Best Summation through the preliminary rounds. He also represented his law school in the National Pre-Trial Competition. Prior to law school, Brendan worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb as a tax accountant, where he received the Presidential Award for his work on two major divestitures.

Brendan is a member of the New York State Bar Association; Trial Lawyers Section and Young Lawyers Section, a member of the American Bar Association; Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section and Young Lawyers Division, and a member of the Westchester Bar Association; Health Law Committee.
