Andrea Beth Friedman

Andrea B. Friedman is the Managing Partner of the Westchester office of Friedman & Friedman PLLC, where she concentrates her practice exclusively in matrimonial and family law. With more than fifteen years of experience, Andrea represents clients in complex divorce, custody, child and spousal support, equitable distribution, and other family-law matters. She is an experienced litigator and negotiator who approaches each case strategically, with careful preparation and a practical understanding of the financial and personal considerations involved.

Andrea joined the firm as an associate in 2009 and became a partner in 2014. She regularly handles matters involving substantial assets, business interests, complicated financial issues, and highly contested parenting disputes. Whether negotiating a resolution or advocating at trial, Andrea works closely with her clients to identify their priorities, understand their options, and pursue outcomes that protect both their immediate interests and their long-term well-being.

Andrea has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star on multiple occasions and received Hofstra University School of Law’s Emerging Leader Award as part of its Outstanding Women in Law program. She has also been recognized by New York Magazine among its Women Leaders in the Law.

Active in the legal community, Andrea has served as a State Director of the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York on behalf of the Westchester Women’s Bar Association and as a member of the WWBA Board. She has participated in the organization’s matrimonial and collaborative-law committees and is a member of the New York Association of Collaborative Professionals.

Andrea frequently lectures on matrimonial and family-law issues for attorneys, law students, and other legal professionals. Her speaking engagements have included programs presented by Hofstra University School of Law, the Westchester Women’s Bar Association, and the Marino Institute of Continuing Legal Education. Her work has also been published in the New York Law Journal.

Andrea earned her J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law and her B.A. from The George Washington University.
