I am writing this review to thank both the people who have used Mr. Shelton's services and Mr. Shelton himself. Often when you find yourself in a position to have to make a decision based solely on a reference it can be stressful. Luckily what the other reviewers wrote convinced me to go with Mr. She...lton. I had an infraction that would have tainted my flawless driving record and I had to make a decision on whether to try and fight this myself or put the investment in with a professional that is based locally with the court I was dealing with and who would do a lot better job than me defending my position. If you have the option to invest in your license then you must. One or two mistakes and you'll get slammed with higher costs in the long run. Not only was Mr. Shelton's fee reasonable, it beat his competitors by a large margin. In the end I was facing a 4 point ticket and he got it reduced with a fine and 0 points. It was worth the investment. I'm the type of driver that has a dash cam, My commute is long and I do not speed, I always wear a seat belt and I NEVER text and drive. I learned all my lessons younger and when it comes to life your driving license is as important as your credit rating. I don't believe it's a privilege to drive but an absolute necessity for most of us and anything that puts driving in jeopardy is just another obstacle to day to day life. My infraction was going 56 on a service road getting on 287. The service road is posted 40. It was literally my first time driving in the area, I truly did not see a mph posting and usually when I'm getting on a highway from a service road entrance I speed up to merge. Well on that day there was a cop in the street, standing with radar and pointing to many cars to pull over and receive their speeding ticket. It was obviously a spot where it seemed like it would produce many tickets that day. I was one of three cars before I was let go and the next batch was about to be pulled over. Did I do what the cop said, yes, absolutely. Was I speeding down a residential block recklessly no but regardless I needed a defense. I was in the wrong and was very grateful I chose Mr. Shelton for my defense. He saved me much more in the long run. I share the story in detail so if you are in a similar position as mine then you will have a clearer decision to make. Mr. Shelton knows the court houses, answers his own phone, answers his own emails and will work with you quickly and directly. It's a no brainer to give him a call. I recently got a four point moving violation ticket in New York following a minor fender-bender. I hired Lee as my lawyer and he got the ticket reduced to a parking violation (zero points) and a fine of $100, compared to what would have been $238 and an increase in my insurance premium. Lee was very ...quick to respond to any questions I had, and thoroughly explained everything I needed to know throughout the process. I cannot recommend him enough!

1/23/2020 I wa represented by Mr. Shelton himself for a speeding ticket I recieved in Yonkers, NY. I was definitely expecting to receive points on my license. I was doing 86mph in a 55mph. 26mph over the posted limit. Not only did Mr. Shelton get the ticket reduced, he was able to avoid me receiving... over $600.00 dollars in fines, and avoided me getting points on my license for this offense. Also it will not show on my driver's record. I highly recommend Mr. Shelton service as it is efficient and affordable. Thanks Shelton Law Firm for the help!!!!!

I was charged with speeding 87 mph in a 55 mph zone. The penalties for this ticket include 8 points on my NY driving record, a $693 fine, a $450 NY driver responsibility assessment, and a possible increase in my insurance premiums. Lee was able to get the ticket reduced to 10 mph over the limit o...r 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. This reduces the points from 8 points to 3 points. Unlike the originally charged ticket, it is not a violation that by itself can be used to raise my insurance premiums. This reduction also completely avoids the $450 driver responsibility assessment. It also reduces the fine.
