Daniel W. Morrison

Daniel W. Morrison is a member of the firm’s litigation, insurance practice and real estate practice groups. His practice extends to numerous areas, including insurance, defamation, products liability, professional liability, environmental, construction, commercial and corporate litigation, real estate and bad faith litigation. He regularly counsels businesses and insurers on a variety of issues relating to commercial and personal lines insurance. Mr. Morrison also represents insurance companies in coverage litigation. In the commercial area, he represents clients in disputes arising out of construction, real estate and other transactions.

Mr. Morrison was a partner at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. More recently, he was a partner at Bleakley Platt & Schmidt. Recent significant cases include the following:

• The defense of a business involved with the construction of the original 7 World Trade Center, following the destruction of that building on September 11, 2001
• The defense of a distributor of gaskets in asbestos litigation
• The defense of a manufacturer of agricultural machinery in a wrongful death products liability action
• The defense of a prominent law school professor in a malicious prosecution and false arrest action
• The defense of a private security firm in a wrongful death action
• The defense of an environmental contractor in a pollution case
• The representation of a health insurance company in a denial of benefits action
