Clare A. Piro Esq.

Clare  is an attorney and mediator who began practicing law in 1984. Her practice has been devoted to family law, real estate and estate matters.  Her practice is in Westchester County, and her main office is in Harrison, New York with the availability to meet clients in White Plains.

Clare was always an advocate of mediation to resolve family conflict, and she decided in 2005 to stop litigating and to limit her family law practice to mediation and representing parties in mediation.  Clare believes that for most families in conflict, mediation is the best choice for resolving that conflict.  She is respectful of the clients’ rights to determine both the process and the outcome in the mediation process and strives to insure that clients have the resources that they need to make the best decisions they can for  their family.

Clare is a Past President of the New York State Council on Divorce Mediation and an Accredited Member with the Council. She is also an Advanced Mediator with the Academy of Professional Family Mediators and a member of the Family and Divorce Mediation Center of Greater New York. She is a Certified Mediator with the Westchester Mediation Center, which provides mediation of custody and visitation cases through the Westchester County Family Court. She was also selected to serve on the roster of the panel of divorce mediators in the Westchester Supreme Court Matrimonial Mediation Program.

Clare has helped many families resolve their conflicts through the peaceful process of mediation and achieve an agreement that best meets the needs of the entire family.
