Adam Wayne Scheinbach

I have 24 years of experience in insurance subrogation, coverage, tort defense, personal injury, business and corporate agreements, and general litigation, and have lived in the Bronx all my life.

Unlike many litigation attorneys, I provide my clients with efficient cost-effective and result-oriented services. I routinely advise business clients on litigation avoidance, advocate creative approaches to dispute resolution and take a business-oriented approach to problem solving.  I am an aggressive advocate and have substantial jury trial experience representing plaintiffs and defendants.  Regardless of the path required, I am always practical and dedicated to protecting the interests of the firm's clients.

For ten years prior to founding the Law Office of Adam W. Scheinbach, from 1997 through 2006 I was a litigation associate with Galvano & Xanthakis, P.C., a litigation firm located in downtown Manhattan specializing in insurance defense.  In 1997 I was associated with the Law Offices of Steven I. Hilsenrath in downtown Manhattan, where I learned reliable techniques for handling subrogation cases and successfully recovered more than twenty settlements in eight months.  In 2007, as a litigation associate at Jaffe & Asher, LLP, I provided coverage counsel to a “Fortune 500” insurance company and drafted summary judgment motions in federal court on multimillion dollar claims against business auto fleet policyholders to collect premium audits under the New York Automobile Insurance Plan.  I have been retained as defense counsel by other attorneys, served as general counsel for individual business owners, and have represented numerous personal injury clients on favorable settlements.

I graduated from Brooklyn Law School in 1996, received my B.A. from the University of Delaware in 1993, and graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1989.

I am a member of the New York County Lawyers Association since 1999.  I became a member of the National Association of Subrogation Professionals in 2007 and of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association in 2009.  I have been an active member of the United States Chess Federation since 1995, and participate in at least one competitive chess tournament per year.  I reside in the Bronx with my eight-year old son.
