You are absolutely correct. You do not have to do parole, that's why they call it post release supervision.

You did not mention what crime you were arrested for. I am guessing assault. Perhaps upon your wife? The prosecution takes a different approach...

You must contact a tax attorney or CPA. The money stolen was income but the IRS may have waited too long to collect now.
