The situation should be dealt with before an arrest of you occurs. Unfortunately, you cannot do it yourself. If you can afford a lawyer, hire one.

When the court changes the bail, it exonerates the old bail and sets a new bail.

The DA may be overcharging at possession of a forged instrument, but your attorney should be able to bargain it down.

If you were scared when he followed you home, make a police report. The police may or may not take action, but your complaint will be on record.
