Barry’s outstanding legal skills were recognized early in his career. He began his career on the defense side, working for an insurance defense law firm representing doctors and hospitals. Within just two years Barry was tryingmajor medical malpractice cases. By age 27 he was a partner at that law firm. In 1988 he left the defense side to become a plaintiff's attorney. His experience as a defense attorney gave him a unique and valuable insight into how insurers defend and evaluate medical malpractice lawsuits.

Not only is Barry experienced in the courtroom, he understands the need to employ top experts and cutting-edge technology, such as animated presentations and medical artists, to great persuasive effect in a complex and extremely technical area of the law.
