Peter Nicholas Billis

A partner in the firm, Peter N. Billis concentrates his practice on commercial litigation, first-party property coverage, insurance coverage litigation, and subrogation.  In addition, Mr. Billis has experience in general liability, products liability and insurance-related pharmaceutical litigation.

His commercial experience encompasses a wide array of industries, ranging from pharmaceutical manufacturers, utilities, and multi-service financial corporations.   He has litigated a number of high-profile matters, including defending against a first-party property claim for loss related to a national crime ring and prosecuting a subrogation matter against an international manufacturer of industrial boiler components.

In addition to his local New York practice, Mr. Billis has experience litigating complex, multi-million dollar matters in state and federal courts throughout the United States.   He appeared pro hac vice to represent clients in several U.S. jurisdictions, including Florida, Connecticut, and Kentucky.

Outside the realm of litigation, Mr. Billis provides regular counsel related to commercial contract disputes and the interpretation of commercial insurance policies.  He has also assisted clients with matters such as will preparation and power of attorney documentation.
